How can you create any symbols and icons quickly and easily with the help of shape commands.

Cutting, Shaping & Reshaping objects in Corel Draw,

One of the keys to skillfully mastering drawing with any graphics software is realizing that the shape you are trying to draw can be broken down into simple shapes in one way or another.Virtually any shape you find in an illustration can be dissected into rectangles, arcs, and/or ovals. This means that instead of drawing most complex shapes from scratch, you can do the same result in much less time by combining or dissecting a few simple shape.
In this blog you'll learn techniques for reshaping existing shapes into new using shape commands and interactive tools.
shape commands are merely applied to items, while tools involve a more intuitive process and further control.

Drawing shapes from scratch is often a tedious and time-consuming process, but
with the help of shaping commands you will speed up the process.
Shape commands such as TRIM, WELD, and INTERSECTION make creating complex shapes quick and painless. You'll also find three other shape commands at your disposal: SIMPLIFY, FRONT MINUS BACKBACK MINUS FRONT & CREAT A NEW OBJECT THAT SURROUNDS THE SELECTED OBJECTS.
By using these commands you will easy to shape and reshape your simple or complex objects.

Property Bar features shaping command buttons that enable you to shape selected
objects instantly. These Property Bar options become available only while at least two objects are selected - and they make shaping commands available, whether or not the objects are positioned to overlap.

TYPES OF SHAPE COMMANDS

WELD -

The Weld command creates a new shape based on the combined shape of two ( or more ) overlapping objects. The original objects are automatically deleted

TRIM -

The Trim command is likely the one you'll use most and has the effect of removing a position where the objects overlap each other. The original objects are automatically deleted

Always remember select the trimmer shape first for trim the original objects.

INTERSECT-

The intersect command creates a new object based on the actual overlapping portion of two or more objects. The original objects remain intact.

SIMPLIFY-

The Simplify command enables you to remove all non-visible ( hidden ) portion of objects layer in back. This command is great for making an intricate arrangement of drawing shapes far less complicated by removing any hidden portions and/or separating linked effects - all in a single command.

FRONT MINUS  BACK-

The key to understanding the results of this shaping command lies in its name. While at least two shapes are selected, applying the front Minus Back command removes the hidden portion of the shape layered in back from the shape in front. When more than two shapes are selected, it will remove all portions where the shapes in back are overlapped by the shape in front, leaving only the shape in front remaining.

BACK MINUS FRONT-

This shaping command works in reverse of Front Minus Back. Applying the Back Minus Front command removes the portions of the shape layered in front from the shape in back.
When more than two shapes are seleted,it will remove all portions where the shapes in front overlap the shape in back, leaving only the shape in back remaining.

CREAT A NEW OBJECT THAT SURROUNDS THE SELECTED OBJECTS -

The key to understanding the results of this shaping command lies in its name.
While at least two shapes are selected, applying the to create a new object that surrounds the selected object ready for the border of both objects.
